On November 12, 2011, Dare 2 Dream Leaders, Inc. youth participated in a Day of Service at the Brooklyn Bridge Park Conservancy.  Youth had the chance to learn about the process of going green by visiting areas of the park with green roofs, solar roofs, and learning about the park benches that have been recycled from pieces of an old building torn down to build the park.  As you can see below our youth had the chance to get real hands on experience on what it takes to care for the parks in NYC.

We would like to personally thank our tour guide Kara Gilmour, Director of Education at the Brooklyn Bridge Park Conservancy for the educational tour and enriched experience.  We had a great time and we hope to return in the spring.
