On December 9, 2012, Dare 2 Dream Leaders Inc.(D2DL) celebrated two years of providing free youth empowerment programs in to the Brooklyn community. This event was packed with individuals who share in our mission and vision of helping youth reach their highest potential. D2DL honored various community leaders and former D2DL students. Our honorees included 45th District Councilman Jumaane D. Williams “Civic Leadership Award”, Andries Hudde 240 Principal Elena O’Sullivan “Leadership Award” , Parent Coordinator Zoraida Clemente “Community Advocate Award” and the following Dare 2 Dream Leaders received an “Emerging Leaders Award”: Aiyana Adams, Seleste Degrannes and Deloran Neverson.
The event was filled with entertainment including a live band, poetry and performances by our very own Creative Arts students. Some of our special guests included staff from our most recent donor the “Rockefeller Brothers Fund”. It was great to have our supporters see first hand the amazing work that our students have produced and the impact that our organization has made thus far. Other supporters included TD Bank, Golden Krust, Cakes By Faith, Stacey Bobb anb Leah & Ira Wagner. Thank you to each and every person that made a contribution by purchasing tickets, serving on our committee and helping out in any way. Looking forward to seeing you at our upcoming events.
